The Lake Mills Area Community Foundation awarded an $8,000 grant to Haus of Peace, a non-profit organization that empowers homeless and abused women to become more self-sufficient. The funds will be used to provide mental health care for participants. Based in Watertown, they have partnered with the Lake Mills Police Department as well as other area non-profit agencies.
