Helping Young Readers in Our Community!

LMACF has donated $2,500 to the LAKE Mills Early Literacy Department to help with new supplies to support young readers.

The mission of the Lake Mills Area School District is preparing all of today's students for tomorrow's opportunities.

"To learn to read is to light a fire; every syllable that is spelled out is a spark." —Victor Hugo

The goal is to give every student the foundational skills needed to become readers. "We know that not every student is going to leave our building with a love for reading. Our mission though is to make sure every student that leaves our building has the ability to read." - Michelle Cook, (District Reading Specialist)

Teachers are currently learning and implementing best practices. They are starting to see growth in the youngest learners, and identify areas for growth with the older students.
