Jefferson County’s Christmas Neighbors program is once again supporting families in need as the holiday season approaches. Founded in 1952, the organization has spent more than seven decades ensuring children and families throughout the county experience a joyful holiday.

Each year, Christmas Neighbors serves hundreds of families and nearly 2,000 children through two major efforts: its annual toy distribution program and its Adopt‑a‑Family program. Together, these programs provide essential support to households facing financial hardship, helping ensure that no child goes without holiday cheer.

This year, the Lake Mills Area Community Foundation awarded a $2,000 grant to Christmas Neighbors through its Endowment Fund, continuing a tradition of supporting the organization’s mission.

Applications for the 2026 Christmas Neighbors program are now open. Families seeking assistance—and community members interested in volunteering or contributing—can find full details at christmasneighbors.org.
