LMACF Supports Senior Meal Programs

The Lake Mills Area Community Foundation (LMACF) recently visited the new Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) site for Jefferson County’s Senior Dining and Home Delivered Meal programs, now operating out of Club 55 Senior Center. With the library’s anticipated relocation to the Lake Mills Municipal Building, Club 55 has become the new home for meal preparation, delivery coordination, and congregate dining. The transition has brought together a network of staff, volunteers, and community partners.

To support this work, Club 55 applied for an LMACF grant to create a safe, heated garage space for meal service operations and for the volunteers—many of whom are older adults themselves—who deliver meals and provide essential support to seniors throughout the area. Thanks to contributions to LMACF’s Endowment Fund, the Foundation awarded a $3,000 grant to help support these vital programs and the volunteers who make them possible.

During the visit, LMACF representatives met with Club 55 members, ADRC staff, local volunteers, property owner Ryan Degner, City Manager Drake Daily, and others involved in establishing the new site. Their collaboration ensures that seniors in Jefferson County continue receiving nutritious meals, social connection, and dependable assistance.
