LMACF Partners with Friends of Korth Park for Trail Sign Project
Updated: Sep 13
Friends of Korth Park welcomed representatives from the Lake Mills Area Community Foundation (LMACF) for the unveiling of two new educational trail signs—“Migrating Birds” and “The Prairie”—a project supported with $1,200 in matching funds from LMACF’s Endowment Fund. The signs highlight the park’s prairie ecosystem, helping visitors connect more deeply with the park’s natural habitats. Volunteers hope the signs prompt visitors to pause, observe the prairie more closely, learn something new, and gain an even greater appreciation for Korth Park’s natural beauty. Immediately following the unveiling, volunteers shared updates on their ongoing efforts, upcoming events, and provided a guided prairie hike with a local naturalist.
