LMACF Celebrates 30 Years!
The Lake Mills Area Community Foundation (LMACF) marked a meaningful milestone by returning to the place where the organization first began—Trinity Pines Retirement Center in Lake Mills. Foundation representatives joined residents for the center’s monthly luncheon, celebrating LMACF’s 30 years of service with cake, cookies, and conversation.
During the visit, LMACF shared reflections on its early beginnings and the remarkable growth that has taken place since its founding. What started as a $10,000 initial donation to support local projects has grown into an estimated $70,000 annual grant budget awarded each year to meaningful programs and initiatives throughout the community, made possible through LMACF’s Endowment Fund. Today, LMACF stewards more than 40 funds, holds over $7 million in assets, and is entrusted with additional temporary pass‑through accounts that support local campaigns. This year, LMACF is expected to distribute more than $300,000 throughout the community.
Foundation members spent time visiting with residents and reconnecting with former board members who helped shape the foundation’s early years. LMACF is grateful to Trinity Pines for hosting the celebration and to all who attended. The visit highlighted the foundation’s ongoing commitment to strengthening the Lake Mills community through collaboration, philanthropy, and local engagement.
