LMACF Celebrates Completion of Marsh Lake Public Access Project
Despite the rain, we were thrilled to join community members, local officials, and project partners for a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the new Marsh Lake Public Access Point! This space extends public access to a beautiful part of the Lake Mills Wildlife Area.
This project came to life through the partnership of Groundswell Conservancy, Jefferson County Parks, and the Wisconsin DNR, working together with the Trieloff family to secure and protect the land for public enjoyment.
The site features an accessible kayak and canoe launch and is officially open to the public at N5859 County Road A, just south of town on the dead‑end road.
Funding from multiple sources supported the effort, including a $10,000 grant from the Lake Mills Area Community Foundation. Thanks to our Endowment Fund donors, we’re able to support meaningful projects like these that strengthen Lake Mills now and for future generations.
