LMACF Supports Lake Mills Middle School Fab Lab with $5,000 Grant!

We were excited to tour the Technology Education Department and present a $5,000 grant to help expand their Fab Lab. Thanks to educator Nate Grundahl, LMMS students are not only learning cutting-edge technology and engineering skills, but also building empathy, compassion, and a spirit of service.

Current and future projects include:

  • Designing occupational therapy tools

  • Creating O2 holders for the Lake Mills Fire Department

  • Building birdhouses for Korth Park

This grant, provided by the Wollin Development Charitable Donor-Advised Fund managed by LMACF, will help purchase a new laser printer so students can engrave their own designs.

The school hopes to continue growing the Fab Lab with even more technology like CNC machines.

We’re proud to support the next generation of innovators right here in Lake Mills!
