The Lake Mills Area Community Foundation Pledges $100,000 to L.D. Fargo Library Expansion Project

The Lake Mills Area Community Foundation (LMACF) is thrilled to pledge $100,000 toward the L.D. Fargo Library Expansion Project!

This exciting project will:

  • Expand and improve the children’s area, creating more accessible programming for our youngest learners

  • Enhance the teen/young adult section, giving youth a welcoming space to grow and connect

  • Upgrade community meeting spaces, ensuring room for collaboration and events that bring people together

Located in the heart of our city, the library is an iconic gathering place. This expansion will ensure it continues to meet the needs of current and future generations.

The project is set to begin in 2026, pending a successful $2.5 million capital campaign. Thanks to strong community support in the April 2025 referendum, the City of Lake Mills has pledged to match up to $2.5 million in donations.

We are incredibly grateful to the generous donors who make grants like this possible through contributions to our Endowment Fund
