The Lake Mills Area Community Foundation recently awarded a grant of $1,000 to Christmas Neighbors. Christmas Neighbors offers two programs, Toy Give-Away and Adopt-A-Family to qualifying residents of Jefferson County.

Brian Watson and Pam Rogers, Board members of the Lake Mills Community Foundation, present a check of $10,000 to Rotarians Pam Streich and Mick Selck for the Dean Sanders Memorial playground to be constructed at Bartels Beach. Contributions can still be made to the Lake Mills Rotary Foundation, P.O. Box 103, Lake Mills.

The Lake Mills Area Community Foundation awarded a $45,108 grant to the L.D. Fargo Public Library for their StoryWalk at Wallace Park. A Story is told on sign posts spread along path through the wooded area at the park. It is designed for children of all ages. The StoryWalks Grand Opening was Friday, Oct. 1st. The Lake Mills Area Community Foundation awarded a grant to the Lake Mills Yoga Co-op for $2,100. The grant qualified for COVID-19 relief funds as provided by the Foundation. The Co-op is a locally operated non-profit organization that was severely impacted by the pandemic. The funds will support the Co-op's Summer Solstice Program which offers outdoor yoga classes in Commons Park.
